These are a score! These are 98% egg whites, the healthier part of the egg that contains protein but almost no fat, but they still look and taste like yellow egg scramblers. I have to admit, although I liked Egg Beaters at first, I have grown to miss the more natural egg taste. I was very happy to find these: the same calories, but real egg and real egg taste. Also, the Gold Circle Farms website says that they feed the hens a diet rich in DHA (a type of omega-3 fatty acid which is associated with a healthy heart), and thus the eggs have a high content of it. I think this is my new favorite egg pick, although it's definitely on the pricey side.

Scramble up this egg substitute for 30 calories (versus 60 calories in your average egg) and get lots 'o protein, no cholesterol and no fat. And as always with eggs, almost no carbs! However, recently I've grown tired of the artificial taste of Egg Beaters, and have now found a new favorite egg substitute: Gold Circle Farms egg substitute. It tastes more like real eggs, has a little more protein, and contains omega 3...all for the same number of calories. It is more expensive, however, and only available at natural stores.

Although I like Egg Beaters ok, there is a weird plastic-like aftertaste that I'm not in love with. Because of this, I'm always on the hunt for a better tasting egg substitute. I found Golden Circle Farms that I LOVE, but you have to buy that at natural stores. I finally found this award winning product that tastes delicious...and is available at regular grocery stores. With even better nutrition than Egg Beaters (it has the same amount of calories and protein and is also fat and cholesterol free and contains calcium), I'd say this egg substitute is most eggcelent!
