50 calorie powdered peanut butter that actually tastes like real peanut butter (well, without the oil)! I have been on the hunt for this forever, so this was a super cool find. The only weird part about it is that it comes as a powder mix that you have to add water to, but you get a low sodium, low fat, no cholesterol, high protein peanut butter. You do have to order this online through the Fit Nutz website. Also, this peanut butter is EXPENSIVE, so I've switched to PB2 powdered peanut butter: similar taste and nutritional information, but more affordable. If you want chunky, though, FitNutz is the only low calorie peanut butter that currently offers that variety. These guys do offer cheap samples, so give those a try and see what you think!

This all natural powdered 50 calorie peanut butter has a very nice "real" peanut butter taste with about 1/4 of the calories and fat, much less sodium and no cholesterol. It is still high in protein, too. I have now been happily using this on my P&B sandwiches, in smoothies and as a cooking substitute for my peanut sauces. It has a nice roasted taste, but if you are looking for the oily texture you get with regular peanut butter, these powdered peanut butters won't do. I like the fact that I can get peanut butter without all of the oil, but it is definitely not for everyone. For "chunky" powdered peanut butter, Fit Nutz has a version that I really like (but it is more expensive).

Better 'n Peanut Butter has WAY fewer calories than all of even the 'Reduced Fat' versions of your favorite brands. This low sodium peanut butter has 100 calories per 2 tbsp. (which is 1/2 the calories of regular peanut butter), and 1/2 the sodium of regular peanut butter. And it still actually tastes really great too! However, you really can taste the tapioca syrup in there, so if you aren't a fan of that, you probably won't like it. Although it isn't quite as delicious as regular peanut butter, the whole "1/2 the calories, 1/2 the sodium and 2.5 grams of fat" thing makes it totally worthwhile. Better 'n Peanut Butter and Peanut Wonder (which is another option that has the exact same taste and nutritional information) are the peanut butters to go nuts over!

When I spied this in the store I must have been influenced by the marketing...I was sure I had found my peanut butter super hero. But after reading the label and tasting it, I learned that it is the EXACT same - as in identical twins - as Better n' Peanut Butter (even down to the exorbitant price). Which is great - I really like Better n' Peanut Butter - it's just that the taste is not the same as say a Jif or a Skippy, so I was jones-in' for a 100 calorie version of those. The benefit of Peanut Wonder is that I found it in the natural section of my local grocery store, and I've only been able to find Better n' Peanut Butter at natural stores, Whole Foods or online.
