Yum! This sausage comes moist and requires cooking, making it better than the pre-prepared patties which can be too dry. As with all Lightlife products, this sausage is very healthful - it has no cholesterol or fat, and is high in potassium. This works great scrambled into something (I made veggie sausage gravy) or made into patties for a breakfast muffin. Meat eaters beware: I served this to some friends who were not used to veggie products, and they weren't lovin' it so much. I think all Lightlife products are more of an acquired taste - you like them more when you are used to vegetarian substitutes (unlike Morningstar Farms, which work more for everyone). If you do get accustomed to veggie products, Lightlife foods are often the most healthful option.

Very delicious zero carb, all natural 50 calorie turkey sausage option! These have fewer calories than other turkey sausages, not to mention that they taste better and do not contain nitrates. Although I really liked these, I'm still sticking with my all-time favorite Morningstar Farms veggie sausage patties: they have less fat and no cholesterol. However, Morningstar Farms patties are not as high in protein, nor are they rich and juicy like these are...so when you are looking for that, these are your best bet.

This breakfast pattie is a Calorista top pick baddie - I love these and have them ALL the time. They are absolutely delicious. Once I tried them, I never wanted to go back to real sausage because these keep all the flavor and lose all of the greasiness. These have a good amount of protein (not as much as pork sausage, but almost) and no cholesterol. I also love the fact that I can throw these in the toaster - what an easy-squeezy score. However, with most frozen foods, watch the sodium!
