| I'm not sure if it's bad luck or if I have some seriously negative newsletter karma, but AFTER I finish each week's article, I find the perfect food (or beverage in this case) for it. Now that I just finished the article Diet Soda: The Diet Killer, I found this perfect soda substitute. No artificial sweeteners, no sodium and tastes a whole lot like soda! I liked the two flavors I tried - lemon and orange - however this is available in pure, berry, cran-raspberry or lime that I'm totally dying to try. I found these at my local natural foods store for 50 cents a can. An all around awesome "soda" score! |

| Finally...I was able to hunt down La Croix's elusive grapefruit flavor. A Calorista member told me a year ago that this was the best flavor by far and I've been on the lookout for it ever since. Well, I agree, it is the best from La Croix...IF you can find it. It isn't sour at all (like I thought it might be because of the whole grapefruit thing). It has just a really nice, simple essence of grapefruit in your pure, sparkling water. All La Croix beverages are all natural, have no artificial sweeteners, no sodium and taste a little like soda, so they are the best-tasting, most healthful cure for a soda craving! I found these at my local natural foods store for 50 cents a can. An all around awesome "soda" score. |

In general, I really love the fact that there are more and more options for sparkling waters, as they are fantastic substitutes for soda. I find myself having one whenever I get bored of plain water and start craving a soda, as it really does the trick.
The Taste: I was excited when I found this mint flavored sparkling water, as I love the MetroMint waters, but they are not carbonated. This seemed like it could be the perfect combination of flavor and carbonation. I liked this beverage a lot, but I have noticed that all R.W. Knudsen sparkling waters have a little bit of a bitter after-taste. This is no exception, which I'm not a huge fan of. However, I do like the really nice, fresh mint “essence” of this sparkling water, and will probably rotate this into my soda craving schedule.
The Nutrition: This organic water has no calories, no added sodium and no artificial flavors or sweeteners.
The Flavors: Other flavors include cucumber, lemon and blueberry (I didn't like the blueberry at all).
