Kashi strawberry waffles have lower calorie density (cals/gram) and more fiber and protein than Nature's Path waffles, not to mention they are also all natural, have flax seeds and taste WAY more awesome! These are a win, win waffle pick - and my most definite number one choice. The strawberry taste was subtle and nice, which is perfect for me, but if you like a super strong strawberry taste you probably won't think it is quite enough.

Yarp. So these waffles say "pomegran plus" and have a pretty picture of a pomegranate on the box, leading one to believe these actually have a pomegranate taste. However, I'm not exaggerating at all when I say there was NO fruit flavor of any kind in these waffles. They tasted like plain oatbran waffles, which I guess is fine if that's what you thought you were buying. Also, nutrition-wise these are organic, but they don't have as much fiber and protein as Kashi strawberry flax waffles (which actually have a strawberry taste). If you want organic, then these are a good option, but if you don't mind all natural, I'd much rather go with Kashi.

After eating Nature's Path pomegran waffles that didn't taste at all like pomegranate, I was very skeptical that these would taste like wild berries. However, I was pleasantly surprised...they are very berry-tasting! Plus the buckwheat makes them very hearty and filling, which was also a nice surprise. Calorie and nutrition-wise, I have to say I still prefer Kashi's strawberry flax waffles, as they have whole grains, omega-3 and are lower in calories. However, Kashi's waffles are not organic or gluten free like these, so if you are looking for a great waffle that has those qualities, Nature's Path is your best bet.

Hmm. I finally got around to trying this, and it was a little rubbery. Also, you have to add things to the mix, so that increases the calories quite a bit. It is still pretty good on calories and lots of fiber and protein so it is not the worst option ever, but I'm definitely on the lookout for something better. Stay tuned!
